Our fellow professionals in other sectors are extremely important to us. While delivering IP support for professional advisors, we work very hard to build relationships with a wide range of advisors, including solicitors, accountants, investors, consultants and design agencies.
For investors, a key issue can be to ensure that a target’s IP is sufficiently robust to ward off competition, and effective in all important countries in which the business operates. For our investor partners, we often get involved in the due diligence process to determine what, if any, IP exists in a potential investee. If a company already has a portfolio in place, it’s essential to establish the ownership, geographical scope and strength of that IP before any equity is taken.
We often work in partnership with solicitors, presenting a united front to companies seeking to access a wide range of legal services.
Design agencies are another key partner. Whether creating a new brand from scratch, or adapting existing designs ahead of a rebrand, we can assist with the selection and clearance of the new name or identity for use in any territory. Once selected, we can proceed to protect chosen brands with registered trade marks, and by other means.
